Case Study:
Forta Health
Documentary Anthem
Celebrate Success
Forta Health is a startup working to provide access to treatment and therapy for children with autism, regardless of their zip code or parent income. They wanted us to create a short documentary piece with emotionally-driven patient success stories to show that their product has a real impact on families in need.
Process: Pre-Interviews
Since patient stories drive the backbone of this piece, it was important to build out the story ahead of time, so going into the interviews we knew exactly what we needed. We scheduled pre-interviews with each of the patients’ mothers (as well as the employees to be interviewed) to understand the intricacies of their stories. From there, we were able to build out a script based off those stories, and plan visuals and b-roll to go along with it.

Process: Location
Since everyone was coming into town from out of state, we had to find a location that was attractive but also could work for multiple looks. We wanted the mothers to feel in more of a living space, while the employees location would feel like an office space. On top of our creative needs, we also were working with children with autism, where overstimulation can be an issue, so we had to insure that there were safe, calm, and quiet spaces available as well. We ultimately utilized a locations library to find a big loft space that had several looks, and rented the full space to take advantage of all the areas.
Insights
Forta continues to be a disruptor in the autism care space, and since our video came out they have secured an additional $55m in funding to continue on their mission of empowering home caregivers of children with autism.
